Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Healthcare Data Analyst to join our remote team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate passionate about using data to make a positive impact in the healthcare industry. You will work under the guidance of senior analysts to clean, analyze, and visualize healthcare data, contributing directly to meaningful projects.

Responsibilities

• Clean, validate, and process healthcare datasets (e.g., claims, clinical, EMR data) to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Perform basic statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
• Assist in developing and maintaining reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools like Power BI or Tableau.
• Write and execute SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from relational databases.
• Collaborate with team members to understand project requirements and deliver on analytical tasks.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations and data security protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Public Health, Economics, Information Management, or a related quantitative field.
• Foundational knowledge of SQL for data querying.
• Academic or project experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative team environment.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, ICD-10, CPT codes) and an understanding of HIPAA compliance.
• Coursework or project experience with Python or R for data analysis.
• Basic understanding of statistical concepts.
• A portfolio or examples of academic data analysis projects (e.g., GitHub, personal website).
